# What is Sports Betting

Sports betting is the act of wagering money on the outcome of a sporting event. This can include placing bets on the winner of a game or match, the final score, the total number of points scored, and many other possible outcomes.

For example in a English Premier League game, players can bet Arsenal wins against Manchester City. If this outcome happens, they recieve a payout from the bookmaker.
